Historic Football Contest The
"Fighting Jewish" of the Yorktown Jewish Center Men's club
It was a crisp morning in the country. Indeed it was perfect Football weather. With a backdrop of the magnificent autumn colors, men...real men...came from the four corners of Yorktown Heights, New York to compete on the gridiron. Pride, manhood, and breakfast were on the line.... The Kosher Pigskin was wet with the morning dew. With the unique towel drying technique by Mark Cohen, the YJC managed to march down the field, play after play, scoring almost at will. Phil "I'm in much better shape than any of you" Sigler was the deep threat. Stu "Red Shoes" Kerner played possum. Bob "I'm short, but I'm cute" Mitgang threw the deep pass, while Mark "Smiley" Seliber dominated the middle. Indeed
there were many heroes in this contest and not all can be mentioned.
It was a glorious day!
