Members of YJC Board Swing into Action on Golf Course
Although it was not an official event sponsored by Yorktown Jewish Center, the informal gathering of several YJC board members (and guests) at Mohansic Golf Course on May 27 to herald the start of Memorial Day Weekend may be a sign of things to come if enough congregants indicate interest in a formal golf tournament for fundraising purposes. (Please contact the YJC office if you are interested at 914-245-2324.)

The Longest Drive contest was won by guest Randy “The Big RZ” Zapakin (pending his test for steroids) and Closest to the Hole was awarded by default to Par 3 par excellence playing partner Bruce Apar (whose name belies his golf game), as his was the only one of eight balls to land on the green. Appropriately, the winners were handed little pieces of paper dyed green by the U.S. Treasury.
